Evaluation of Systems and Services (SI622)

In this course we are evaluating the usability, usefulness, and acceptability of the online game ‘Teledraw’ using several UX evaluation methods. This is a full semester, group project and introduces us to various research methods and usability tests and UX methods.

Information Architecture (SI658)

Evaluated the Instagram app from an Information Architect’s POV. Analyzed user experience, heuristics, credibility, and suggested design ideas for making and improving information architecture.

Contextual Inquiry (SI501)

The information workflow was analysed and relevant findings and recommendations were provided to make better use of information, technology and people to improve reporting, work processes, culture and increase fund-raising opportunities at IHN-AH.

Evaluation and Redesign of Wild Swan Theater Website

A few of us students have volunteered to evaluate the existing Wild Swan Theater Website and come up with a redesign. The project involves conducting interviews of stake-holders and users; conducting usability tests and other analysis; creating personas; wireframing and prototyping, amongst other UX methods.
Here I Am – Windows Phone App

Participated in the Microsoft Big App on Campus hackathon and designed and developed a Windows Phone 7 app that helps users direct their friends to locations within a building or area.
BlueCQ – Microsoft Imagine Cup

South (India) Zone finalists at the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2005 Software Design competition, for our idea titled ‘BlueCQ’ – A bluetooth based social networking tool.
Ecology Center (Ann Arbor) – Social Medai

Enchanced the online and social presence of the Ecology Center.
Launched Google+ page. Created YouTube channel. Updated Wikipedia entry.
Design Jams

Regularly participate in design jams, hackathons and other events, like this suggested redesign wire-frame of the linked.org site during a group design jam at the University of Michigan.

Worked as a Software Developer for Dell Services (formerly Perot Systems) in Bangalore and Plano. I was largely involved with projects in the American Healthcare sector using Microsoft technologies (C# / ASP.NET / TFS / SQL Server / etc.)
