The new Sony Ericsson S500i

S500i Open

This has to be the sexiest Sony Ericsson phone I’ve ever seen.
Ever since I lost my W810i, I went back to my older K508i, as I didn’t want to buy the W810i again. I fell for the S500i the first time I saw it in the Coming Soon section at the Sony Ericsson website. After reading countless reviews and opinions, I decided this is what I’m going to get myself for my birthday!

Happy Birthday to me!

Life goes on!

Long time since I blogged a non-photoblog article! Time for me to say the cliched, much used, much abused ‘Life goes on’ dialogue to the many many people reading my blog ( at last count 3 ).

Had a college alumni meet yesterday at NMIT and met some old friends and new ones. Had a decent time. College sure has changed a lot from the one building place that it was, when my batch joined!

Work is also decent. Lots of fun times ahead in office, with the start of various cultural and sports activities. As usual I’m involved in organising them and have been designing various posters / communications for the events. Will upload some of my better ones here as and when possible.

This seems to be the season of goodbyes, what with so many friends leaving for their higher studies over the next couple of weeks; which brings me back to the issue of what I’m going to do further. Let’s leave that unanswered for a while longer, while I think over it, again.

On the gadgets front – I’ve been thinking whether to get a new laptop or a new camera. Haven’t yet found the need to own a laptop, so I might mostly end up just upgrading my existing desktop and buying a new camera. I’m strongly considering getting either a Canon EOS 400D or a Nikon D60. Any suggestions?

The Run for Hope

The Run for Hope was held yesterday morning. Ramesh Aravind, the south Indian movie star flagged off the 5km run, which started at St. Joseph’s Indian School and went around Kanteerva stadium, Cubbon Road and ended back at the school. The event had a good turn out and I am hoping enough funds were collected for the new ‘Littlewoods Learning Centre’, being started by Lovedale Foundation.

It was nice to see that there were many people coming forward to volunteer at events like this, and there were many employees from different companies there, helping organise the event.

If anyone wishes to volunteer for future events or want to donate to the foundation, then please visit their website at http://lovedalefoundation.org for more details.

All in all it was a Sunday morning well spent! Even though I had to get up at some insanely early hour, to reach the venue! We followed the event with breakfast at Frescos in Cunningham Road, but the buffet wasn’t all that great…atleast not for veggies…and definitely not worth the 250 bucks!
