A miracle or another 4 year wait March 24, 2007

Team India played a superb match today with the hopes of a billion Indians and hit them for a six. The jerks lost again and are potentially out of the world cup.

What follows will be the usual crap – a series of series and pointless discussions and post-mortems on all the news channels – “Why didn’t India make it to the Super 8?” or “What went wrong?” ; A few more cricketers houses will fall; More effigies will be burnt ; blah blah … like as if any of those or even this blog post will change the truth – India are potentially out of the cricket world cup!

Freak! That’s kinda hard to digest. Leaves a bad after-taste as well.

Unless, unless ofcourse, a miracle happens and Bermuda actually beat Bangladesh. If not another 4 year wait is all that we need, to have our hopes played around with once more.

    Another 4 year wait?
nope. 1983 was the last “world tournament” we won. 24 years since we won a world cup.
why wait? and what irony. we speak and believe that we have the best cricketers.

I lost interest in cricket about 5-6 years back. Whenever India lost a match or they won a match, I never felt the joy. So, I have absolutely no cribs about these guys losing again. Its like- They lost, so whats new about that?

So true both of you. Bugged of being disappointed. No more hopes for these guys.
