MediaMonkey January 25, 2006

Chandru told me about this very useful tool called MediaMonkey, that helps catalogue our music and edit the tags, move music from same artist to one folder, look up the net for missing album info, etc.

MediaMonkey

It is a great tool and I’ve been spending quite a lot of time on it, getting my music in order. In the process I’ve rediscovered so many forgotten songs and found many songs, which I never knew I had because they had the wrong tags or had obscure filenames or were in some folder named New or Miscellaneous or such like.

Anyway, now thanks to MediaMonkey, I am well on my way to organising my music collection properly and the time and effort is worth it, especially if you are a major music buff and also if you’re using an MP3 player.

Warning - It is very addictive and you will end up spending hours on it updating tags and trying to get your music collection in order! :D
